HOW TO GET TO

From London, head to Kings Cross and take the train direct to Edinburgh – stopping at York and Newcastle – to pick up anyone coming from the north. The journey takes between 4-5 hours but after a few glasses of the good old stuff the time will fly. Why not book during breakfast and enjoy a few pastries as you watch the countryside roll away? Once there, Edinburgh is compact and easy to explore on foot. For nights out and killer heels, the bus and taxi system is great too!

BEST HEN GROUP ACTIVITIES IN EDINBURGH

Shopping and cocktails

BEST FOR THE ULTIMATE GIRLY DAY

As one of the greatest shopping capitals in the world, your hen party will be spoilt for choice. Start your morning on Princes Street and wander around the huge flagship stores, smaller independent boutiques and high street favourites. Then, head to George Street to continue your spree. Of course, cocktails will be needed for fuel and you’ll be pleased to know both streets are lined with venues.

Nude Life Drawing

BEST FOR SOMETHING A LITTLE CHEEKY

Want to get a little creative? A Nude Life drawing session will definitely be remembered. Pick your model, start the evening with some fun and games, and then put your pencils to the paper. Spice up the session with a few drinking games and end it with your bride posing alongside the model for a finishing shot. It’s a guaranteed laugh and can even be arranged in your own hen party house.

Edinburgh Fringe Festival

BEST FOR A PROPER LAUGH

August is when this city really comes alive. Over the past few years, the Fringe Festival has become the largest arts festival in the world with comedians, actors and street artists coming from all over to perform. If you can’t make it during August, don’t worry as the city has a fantastic comedy scene throughout the year…

A haunted city tour

BEST FOR A REAL SCREAM

Edinburgh claims to have a haunted past. Okay, we know every old city says that but a haunted city tour is still said to be great – if you’re into those sort of things that is. There’s also a haunted bus tour which takes you around the city. We guess you could always jump off at the next stop if you saw a bar…

Gin tasting and a distillery tour

BEST FOR GETTING BLOTTOED

Edinburgh Gin. Need we say more? With its very own gin label, of course, Edinburgh was going to have a fantastic gin tasting and tour experience. We’ve not been this excited for the gift shop since our Year 2 trip to Blackpool Zoo.
