And if you’re looking for something a little quieter, Edgbaston – an affluent suburb – boasts gastropubs, boutiques, delis, and international restaurants. A must-visit is the 15-acre Birmingham Botanical Garden, where you can admire over 7,000 species of plants, shrubs, and trees. The perfect place to enjoy a picnic on a warm, sunny day.

Coventry

A popular city in central England, Coventry is famous for its Cathedral. For a small fee, you can even admire one of England’s largest bell towers and climb to the top. You’ll have to tackle 180 steps though, so you might want to leave your heels at home that day. Failing that, you could marvel at the architecture from a nearby bar… As well as this, the city is a popular hotspot for shopping, theatre, comedy and more. The Empire Coventry has quickly become a focal point for the city’s live music scene, and it’s played host to some big names over the last few years. It also regularly hosts tribute bands so it’s definitely worth a visit if you want to dance the night away.

Leicester

This buzzing East Midlands city has a lot to shout about! And, after a short walk around, we guarantee you’ll understand exactly why it was voted one of the best places to live and work recently. With a rich history, diverse culture, natural beauty, and buzzing night-time hotspots, Leicester is a real hen party haven! At the heart lies the famous Clock Tower – once the centrepiece of a roundabout and now an iconic feature in the city, and there’s also Abbey Park, a fantastic place to enjoy the sunshine. If you’re looking for a little retail therapy, the Midlands won’t disappoint. In Birmingham, you’ve got the Bullring & Grand Central shopping centre.
